Usually we have had two weeks to prepare for the Gators which I have thought was not to our advantage most years. However this year the extra week would have been a blessing, IMO.

Guys, we are thin in the secondary and DL with the injuries. Had the coaches had the extra week here are a few possible changes: 1) Move Austin Rogers and possibly Hancock to the secondary, al la Carl Pickins. 2)Move McClendon to DL for short yardage and goal line stands 3) assuming Mayo 100% consider 3-4 defense getting more speed to cover the spread option.

I'm sure there are other senarios that you guys can wax rhetorically on. Even though I've never been a hugh belivier in "win one for the Gipper" motivation in big games, I think Chavis and the D will sell out and play extremely well for Inky and Justin and if breaks go our way we will be 3-0 Sunday:rock:

Well, I guess the best thing about us having the open week instead of air force is that everyone would be healthy...

suck it up guys - I have always thought that 2 weeks hurt us more than it helped. I think the reality check of AF will help out a lot.

I'm guessing we had been preparing for this game long before this week, scheme-wise. Not sure how much that will change with Harrell and Inky out. I wouldn't be surprised to see less than 4 down line men and an extra LB to counter their quickness. Given the fact FL doesn't have a strong running game, we could probably successful w/o 4 down line men. We could even see the prowler again - but it will never work as well as it did with John Henderson and Albert Haynesworth..

I agree with VOLracerx. I tend to think the week off hurts us more than it helps up. Currently our offense is in a rhythm and a week off would hurt that rhythm IMO.
