Seems UGA is struggling at Ole Miss trailing by 3-0 at halftime.I'm not sure of the outcome but I do know Memphis only lost 28-25 at Ole Miss earlier this year.

i still dont see why so many people thought georgia was so good in the pre-season. sure they have richt as their head coach, but i still say they will do good to win 9 games this season.

Don't get fooled by Georgia's game at Ol'Miss. Remember this is the SEC were in. Georgia's got a heck of a football team. They just need to get some consitent play at quarterback. I am not going to say their D-fense is as good as Florida's but it isn't far behind. They were flat agaist Colorado and I think Ol'Miss just came to play last night.

But I do think if UT's offense continues to improve the way it has of late we can pull off a win. We have to stop the run and make the freshman beat us. I like our chances with the secondary we have. I think it will be a battle though. Probably a low scoring Defensive game. I think we get a turnover or two and pull this one off. But they have had our # of late 4 out the last five. It makes you sick doesn't it? God I miss Jim Donnan and Ray Gouf.

Tennessee - 23
Georgia - 16

Does Fulmer and Cut change their game plan for the big games like FL and GA? What I mean by that is it seems we don't play as open as we do against other teams. We play more conservative to the point that often times it doesn't seem like the same team. A good example is the play calling against Memphis. Wide open, long passes, good running routes, etc. FL and GA will see more conservative running and shorter, safer passing. Is it me or do you see it too?

GO VOLS! BEAT GEORGIA!

I agree 100%. Georgia has a good enough defense and a good enough ground game, that they can play with anybody. They are going to have to figure out a way to start a little faster though.

UGA is a legit team, no doubt. They are just struggling at QB right now, but their D gives them that luxury.

We just have to cram salt into that wound when we are on D and stretch their D with our passing game.

PS- did anybody see what Tech did to VaTech? Go little brothers!! I'd say there is a real debate as to who the best team in Georgia is this year!

I watched a little of the Georgia Tech game. I loved it. I live up in Northeast TN. I have to listen to all these Virginia Tech fans all the time. I almost came to blows a few times last year.

P.S.
You know the best thing to ever come out of Virginia don't you?

HWY 23 towards Tennessee!!!

I think we look so much more aggressive downfield against teams like Memphis b/c they are less talented on D and those are open more often. We do take chances down the field this year bu they were covered up against Florida. We did try to run the ball too much with the lead and without production, I dont see that happening this week. That being said, Ga. is in trouble with our WR and that will open things up for Coker and company.

I so hope this is the year we start to dominate the series with them again!

Hopefully LSU will take care of UF and give the Vols a little extra motivation. (Not that they'll need it though)

You're 100% right. I wish you were coaching the team. I wish we had let Ainge throw it every offensive play of the second half. With the pressure Florida was getting on him, I'm sure he would have only thrown 3 or 4 picks.

So. Tennessee has won 5 of the last 7 in Athens.

Does that mean the Dawgs shouldn't even show up?

Only one of those games was coached by Richt. Before he arrived on the scene the dogs might as well not show up.

I disagree. IMO Jim Donnan was not really that bad a coach. He just had the misfortune of coaching UGA at the same time that Tennessee and Florida were at their peak.

You are correct. If Chuck Amato finally flames out at NC State, don't be surprised to see Donnan take that job and be succesful.
