UT vs UGA

Thank God for Chris Lofton..

Yes.

Terrible first ten minutes, great middle 20 minutes, terrible/just enough last 10 minutes.

In the end, a win's a win.

Just shows you how much different this team is.

Last year...there's no way we could have stood up to the pressure in the closing minutes.

Great win, guys! Lofton...what would we do without you?

If he isn't the MVP in the SEC...

Georgia is trying to turn the lights out on us...

"Get those dang Tennessee fans outta here!"

I'm listening to Pearl talk on the post game show and he's telling us about the history of the 1 3 1 zone. That man knows his basketball.

Pearl was actually pretty happy with how they worked against the 1 3 1. He says they need more work on it though.

He said that UGA was probably the most physical team that we've played in the SEC. He said that we were dominated a majority of the time in this game. He feels great about the win because UGA battled back, made it a game and made it tough. Those kinds of wins are huge.

Which poll had UT men #11 this week? The one ESPN uses on their scoreline says they're #14. In that poll Michigan State #11 and UCLA #12 both lost today so UT should be no worse than #12 in that one. Personally I think polls don't make much sense because Texas and Florida are ranked ahead of UT in that one.

AP poll has us at 11. The Coaches Poll has us 14 and I think that's suspect.

John Pennington puts it like this:

There are only 4 instances where the coaches and media differ in voting by more than one slot. Indiana (+3) and Ohio State (+2) are the only schools that get a real bump from the coaches' vote. Washington (-2) and Tennessee (-3) are the only schools that get a real drop.

I still stand behind my statement that some coaches are jealous of Pearl. I wouldn't doubt it if the coaches holding us down are the SEC coaches.
