Don’t approve of the new coach hire (Blake Anderson from Ark State)

Players wanted Polynesian coach than is the interim coach.

CFB is heading in a bad direction I’m afraid.

They are refusing to play because the school prez dissed the interim's race and religion. It's not wise to insult the LDS in Utah.

When someone says “ it’s not about the money”, understand it’s always about the money. Same here. They wanted the interim coach hired.

Is this like the army in the Civil War where the troops elected their own officers?

The interim coach is mormon and the school president told the team they didn’t think his culture or religion was a good fit.

The team got pissed, and that’s illegal if true. Supposedly 84% of the team or something took issue with the presidents statements in an anonymous survey. And the team voted 100% to opt out. It had nothing to do with the new coach

Quite telling that you didn’t provide a link to the story; instead opting to post your idiotic opinion version of it.

No one has heard or read what the President of USU supposedly said. The players haven’t quoted it nor has the University. The President strongly denies it.

This is what the players statement said.

“On Tuesday, December 8th, the Utah State University Football Leadership Council held a zoom meeting with Noelle Cockett, President of USU, and John Hartwell, the Athletic Director. The purpose of the meeting was to have a say in the search for our new head coach. During the meeting, we voiced our support for Interim Head Coach Frank Maile. In response to our comments, their primary concern was his religious and cultural background. Players, stating their diverse faiths and backgrounds, then jumped to Coach Frank Maile's defense in treating everyone with love, equality, and fairness.

something is not adding up here unless you made some typing errors. Please clarify.

And now you're just bolding stuff to further dig in. The issue is the sentence directly after your bold. How do I know this? Because I read the statement and know that you chose to leave out:

"The Utah State football players have decided to opt out of our game against Colorado State due to ongoing inequality and prejudicial issues between the players, coaches, and the USU administration,"

In other news, Utah State announced that it has accepted an offer to play in the inaugural Autonomous Zone Bowl, to be played January 1st in Portland, Oregon. This game will be noteworthy in that score will not be kept; the game will not be confined to four 15-minute quarters; the game will end when each team believes it has made a meaningful statement condemning the mysogynistic nature of our society; there will be no referees, as they have been defunded; and every player and fan at the game will receive a full tuition-free scholarship to the woke university of their choice.

The game will be broadcast live on all ESPN Channels, CNN, and MSNBC. LeBron James will conduct the coin toss, and the game broadcast crew will be Colin Kaepernick, AOC, and Bernie Sanders.

Details on Utah State's opponent are yet to be announced, but Vanderbilt, the USWNT (soccer), and Stacy Abrams are rumored to be potential opponents.
