I live on base. Electricity is free.

Thanks guys.

Hey I don't mind. My dad lived on a base. What I do mind is paying prison electric bills.

Since prisoners like to workout, I say they only allow treadmills, eliptical machines and stationary bikes. Come up with something to generate power and booya, free power. Problem solved.

Only problem is if they ever escape, they can run like Forrest Gump.

I like how i can keep my place as cool as a meat locker along with everything else running at once in the middle of July and never pay over $70. I spent the majority of March hospitalized and the last few days of the month at my gf's house. I dont think i was at my own home 20 mins between the end of Feb til the first week of April, my March bill was something like $125. :dunno:

Remember, you need to stay politically correct with your words even though its a great idea. :lolabove:

Fortunantely I had my gas adjusted last year so I pay the same amount each month for a year. If the prices stay this high I will not renew that option.

Come on now, if you are referring to the pic, it is funny.

You have to add a little humor to the cost of heating a home.

We have yet to been hit really hard, our highest bill so far has been $130.

Yeah Capitalism! :dance2:

During the summer the gas bill never got over $30.00 but the electric bill was 80-90's. Now the electic bill is in the $40's and the gas is 110-130's.

Our house is 4 years old and fairly effecient, are any of your houses newer or older?

Do you know how much insulation you have?

I believe ours is 18 inches.

My house is about 20 years old, but supposedly air tight and well insulated.

The problem here is that the Natural Gas industry is going through some growing pains since it was deregulated a couple of years ago. A bunch of companies jumped into competition and found out real fast that it was a lot more expensive to do business than they had predicted.
