Nice BR write-up (with some film!) on our 3 commits at The Opening. In short, Kahlil is the best DL, Preston is at least one of the best 3 if not the best receiver (was regularly double & triple-teamed --> don't worry PW, WRU is so loaded that you won't have that problem here), and Cecil Cherry improved his stock and was considered one of the "best of the best" LBs. I don't think this kind of event helps him because he's a hit monster rather than a tag guy (though he still punishes one RB with his "tag"). Simmons put it best: "Tennessee commit Cecil Cherry is going to bring Volunteer fans plenty of highlight reel hits. Even in this camp setting, you can tell that the stocky linebacker is itching to stick his forehead on somebody’s chest." Very proud of this bunch so far! :good!:

Btw, does anybody know when Rivals' new rankings will be coming out? Williams and McKenzie should definitely be given their 5th stars from them and I'm really curious how far McKenzie will climb up the ladder (he's currently 31st) with some thinking he could be #1 on some boards.

We could seriously have a top 3 class this year. If McKenzie can pull a few guys like sweat and Tuttle, look out. The dominoes shall fall.

Rivals gives 32 5* ratings per year. Its one for every first round draft pick. Then they adjust players up and down all season.

Cherry's HUDL highlights are great. He attacks the ball carrier while his teammates wait for the ball carrier to come to them. The poor kids he hit did not want to get up.

"McKenzie has grown up around the NFL (his dad, Reggie, is the Oakland Raiders general manager, and both he and Kahlil's uncle, Raleigh, played in the league), and he already looks like an NFL rookie.
He treated high school linemen like ragdolls the past few days as well, tossing them aside and surging into the backfield. While camps like The Opening are set up for more athletic players like defensive ends to excel, McKenzie's name was called as much as anybody's."

This may end up being one of those rare occasions were a kid can make an impact at DT as a freshman. This kids strength, instincts, and burst are simple put Amazing at this stage of his career.

I haven't been this excited about a DT commit in a very long time.

The last time I was this fired up about a DT, his name was REGGIE WHITE, I think a few might know him as the Minster of Defence.

He will bring TG and a DL recruit with him, he made some friends at the camp and they know if they pair up with him on the line, we will dominate the line and when we dominate the line the EAST is ours.

Cherry and Mckenzie = bad news for, well everybody! # bricks laid!!!!

Sweat and Settle and big Shy. Nobody's going to have a running game with Kahlil anchoring that group. How does Butch do it?:groupwave::groupwave: I still predict a 5* avalanche by NSD.
