This was sent to all season ticket holders at Vandy. I would like the VN's input. There is an email address that exists to submit your responses to vandy, but I eliminated that from this post.
As we enter a new academic year, Vanderbilt Athletics has begun a project to help us define the future. While we are very proud of our past and the many accomplishments and goals we have achieved, we must look to the future and strive to improve. In that regard, the Athletics management team has focused many recent discussions on how Vanderbilt Athletics can move from "good to great." While we are fully committed to achieving this goal, it starts with defining "who we are" and "who we want to be"; therefore, this is a journey that begins with a strong Mission Statement. Our plan is to create a Mission Statement that represents all of us, and since we cannot get everyone together for a week to hammer out a working mission, your help and input is very important.
At this time, we are asking you to do the following two things:
1. List three words that come to mind when you hear "Vanderbilt Athletics."
2. List three words that you would like for "Vanderbilt Athletics" to stand for.
We would appreciate it if you only list individual words, even though sentences or paragraphs may be your first thought. Please e-mail your response by July 16 to:
@vanderbilt.edu
Thank you in advance for taking time to be a part of this process.
Go Dores!
