Stephanie Holzer is out for the season with a dislocated kneecap. It's an injury similar to Marcus Lattimore's. This is a HUGE loss for Vanderbilt and hope she recovers well.

I follow women's basketball a little, other than the Lady Vols, but who is she?

Still waiting to find out who this female player is that plays for Vanderbilt...basketball, volleyball, bad minton, rowing team, track & field, swimming? Hope she has a full recovery soon. Like someone said about this injury, it will take a full year to mend all that was damaged but good luck & hang in there.

She plays for the Vandy women's basketball team. It's a big loss for them as she is a very good player. I'm by no means a Vandy fan but I wish her the best as the recovers from her injury.

Thanks. I really hate to see something like that for anyone. Hope she recovers fully.

Big loss for Vandy. Their title hopes took a big blow with the loss of Holzer. She is a 6'4" center on the team. I hate seeing anyone go down with and injury. See below for those wanting to know about Holzer.

Holzer earned SEC Sixth Woman of the Year honors as a redshirt freshman in 2010-11 before earning Honorable Mention All-SEC honors last season. She led Vanderbilt in rebounding both seasons, pulling down 6.0 rebounds per game as a redshirt freshman and 7.5 per game last year.

Probably a subluxation injury and not a true dislocation. Tall girls are susceptible to these type injuries.

Sounds like a very wonderful person & player but I'm sorry to hear that they lost her to an injury for the year. TN wants to play teams at their best & I hope Vandy has the right player to fill her spot for the season. I'm no Vandy fan (except when they play someone other than TN) but I don't like to see anyone with season ending injuries. Like I said earlier above, good luck & God speed the recovery.
