As an academic institution according to U.S. News and World Report. There's a lot of internet chest thumping on Vandymania right now regarding the news. After the dumpster fire that is their season so far, that's all they have to crow about.

The planets have now officially realigned to their rightful place in the galaxy.

Peabody College and a competent coach allowed Vandy to move up in football rankings. Academically, they've always performed well.
