Watched Maryville and Alcoa game highlights on WVLT not long ago, and couldn't help but be impressed with this kid. The kid looked fast, very elusive, seemed to hit holes well, and broke all kinds of ankles with his cutbacks and jukes. 2 great games in a row by Hambrick. He looked alot like someone who wore #5 on the west coast about three years ago. I think Dooley and the staff need to start looking at this kid very hard, IF he can make the grades and is someone who can keep his nose clean. Only thing I could find on him as far as size is 5-10, 170 as of playoff time last year.

Does anyone know if UT is looking at him or not?

maryville's d isn't the best test in the world though...I love the rebels, but they were very sloppy on the defensive side of the ball all night with missed tackles. A lot of them were simple arm tackles that didn't take much to run through.

I watched most of that game on t.v. and saw several players that should be evaluated on both sides. I think Brandon Warrens cousin looked like a beast, Hambrick was awesome and the receiver for Maryville was a playmaker. Hopefully this staff will keep us from losing anymore local players to Kentucky or other rivals.

good or bad, surely that will get us back to SEC elite status. Have things truly gotten that bad, the obvious answer is yes.

Tyson and Warren looked like SEC caliber athletes in this game. Do not think brandons family wants warren at ut after what happened with brandon. Tyson though? We might be able to get him.

Tyson is a beast of a full back! I don't get how we are not recruiting him. Great character and good grades. The Warren kid, I just don't think he is as good. I think if TYson was not such a good full back he would be the starting running back and would be getting 200+ yards a game.

That's true about Maryville's D. They made some crappy attempts to bring guys down. However, I don't think that was necessarily the case with Hambrick. Seems like a lot of the time he was in open space and just made guys miss, or simply just out ran them. Still it's not the best test of ability to out run Maryville's defense.

Lulz at the Reggie Bush comparison, and it's been 5 years since his last season at USC, not 3.

I don't think you can talk about keeping your nose clean and make a reference to Reggie Bush in the same sentence. Also, there are hundreds of RBs all over the country who run all over high school defenses every Friday night. Only a handful are actually SEC worthy. It takes a lot more than some shifty moves and 200 yards in the statbook.
