Objectively, the black star is instantly recognizable and traditional.

The generic gold V looks like something an art student at a D3 school would come up with

If they were going to do a new logo, I would’ve implemented the anchor, or you know an actual commodore… I guess that’s just me though. Either way, you can give a crap car a new paint job but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a crap car. They will always be crappy Vanderbilt no matter what they do.

UVa's logo is way better. The V is sharper and looks nicer. Plus it has 2 sabres beneath it. Who doesn't like sabres?
