Vandy Attendance increased this weekend

I have had, no kidding, a few friends in the past day or so, telling me they have gotten tix for this weekend. I replied, hottest ticket in town. Their collective response was, “I had no idea UT baseball cost this much.”

Hopefully young Danny is paying attention.

Talked to 2 people both saying limited walk up tickets will be released 90 mins before each game.

That’s been the case thus far, the only question is how many. Last weekend it was less than 200 I believe and folks were there 2.5 hours before game time.

Watching Ole Miss host 11,500 last Saturday & Sunday while we virtue signal to the high heavens with 1,500 is pathetic and sheepish.
It could be worse- some west coast schools didn’t start games until a few weeks ago and Long Beach State is just now letting fans in (possibly other schools, but don’t know for certain).

The best is the conference only schedule (I lump our football season into that as well). How the hell does that mitigate the chances of catching Covid? The whole thing has become a giant shenanigan of lost rationality.
Soapbox: my wife is fully vaccinated, we have an expired mask mandate yet she still wears her mask everywhere. Why!? Even worse she fails to see the irrationalness of the whole thing.

Idk but ill jump on the soapbox. For sports like Football and Basketball i like conference only. I dont think it fits as well for baseball.

I don’t mind the schedule from a competitive standpoint; it’s definitely more entertaining than playing TN Tech. But the reasoning behind doing it was lame and made zero sense.

Same way putting a man on 2nd in extra innings does. Do as you’re told. If it saves one life, it’s worth it.

I know that's a little tongue in cheek, but I know people in that program and talked to them last week about how excited they were about just getting some people in the ballpark for the first time.
Tennessee has been expanding capacity from what I've observed in person this season. At first, every other porch location was occupied, now all of them are occupied. Lots of students are packing in the area in front of the right field playground and that wasn't so early on. I'm optimistic that things will continue to improve, and I'm thankful I can attend college baseball in person.
