I thought I would start this thread for all of the fans who are ready to jump on the James Franklin bandwagon. Since they are going to have a top ten recruiting class this year, it is important to get this bandwagon going early. Oh and by the way....GO DORES!!

It would be a coup of Biblical proportions if Vandy cracks the top 30. Tennessee will end up in the top 10. It is what it is.

If it gets more fans in the stands, even if temporarily, more power to them. Vandy Stadium is one depressing place, whether it's full of opposing fans or mostly empty when they play a smaller school.

Well except for when UT plays there of course.

I can't believe no one has officially joined the bandwagon. I can't because of my mancrush on Justin Hunter, but feel free to join this outstanding group.

James Franklin is the real deal. I believe he already has more 3 stars than Vandy has in their history.

I don't understand this. So Vandy fans should never have optimism for their football program?

At any rate, it's a departure from the status quo. Who knows where Vandy's class ranking (ugh) ends up. Bet it's higher than it's ever been, and that's a good thing for them. They really couldn't go down much more than where they were, though.

Ultimately, whatever is happening there IS relevant, whether anyone wants to believe it or not. When was the last time there was a Vandy recruiting press conference that gets some legitimate media attention? Never. I don't think anyone is saying they're going to overtake UT or even Kentucky. But there's more buzz about Vandy now than ever.

James Franklin is on 3HL as I speak, as well.

lol VU

that's all I'm going to say for now, anyone who has any confidence in their program is wildly off-target considering their history

Vandy is crap. End of story.

Doesn't say much about the state of UT athletics when a smidgen of good news from Vandy results in a bunch of infantile jealousy on the part of self-proclimed UT supporters. Let's focus on what's good about our program rather than throwing rocks at every other program out there.

btw, results of the NCAA men's Capital One Cup (purportedly the top overall NCAA Division 1 athletic program) are in: Florida won, Vanderbilt finished 25th and UT was 55th. Not sayin' that this is an accurate reflection of the relative athletic programs, but it does appear that a little introspection may be appropriate.

Yep.
They have one hell of a quiz bowl team, though.

Not sure exactly how points are accrued, but check capitalonecup.com/standings. Trophies and scholarships to be awarded July 13 at the ESPY awards show.
