Lower Broadway/ broadway in general is trash. It’s more trashy on Saturday’s. It’s even worse on a game Saturday.Lower Broadway is alright. I would suggest walking down to 2nd Ave if you’ve made it that far, and see the Christmas bombing damage. It’s something else, even after all this time. It’s hard to believe that happened.
You are right about that. I’ve been going to Predators games for about that long, and it’s a shame what’s been lost from a historical standpoint. I still really like to enjoy a beer while listening to one of the countless bar singers. You can easily see 3-4 concerts in the time it takes to go through a bucket at a few of those old places that have multiple stages. But it is becoming more commercialized by the hour, and nobody is happy about that.I guess. I’ve gotten too old for that type of crowd and it’s changed drastically in 10 years from what it once was.
Walking from Hattie B, is a haul! It could be done but has to be 3 miles or so.I love Midtown. I will have family in town for the game. We plan on getting brunch at Hopsmith then hit a few bars in that area. Red Door, Broadway Brewhouse, and Rebar are some of my favorites in that area. You can't ever go wrong with hitting Hatti B's for lunch or dinner before the game and it is all fairly close to the game. You can walk for sure. The Local is a cool little spot right by the park as well. If you have never been to that area before I would suggest taking a walk in the park and checking out the Parthenon.
