As much tuition as their students pay you would think they could hire a professional instead of an eight year old.

At first I thought it was more faux outrage.

Then I saw the picture....while I don't think the guy had any ill will when painting it, why would you step away from that thinking "Yeah, this looks good"?

The school doesn't own that building, nor do they pay for the painting.

However, the owner of that business should have taken a look at that thing and refused the pay the artist til he fixed it.

True but I imagine the university is involved in some way the their logo plastered all over it. Seems as though they if they were going to endorse something they would want it to look nice.

Ask any good artist, faces are really hard to get right, even when life size. Scale that up three or four times to fit a bldg. and even a great face artist is challenged.

An obviously, said artist fer this mural ain't great, no matter how ya shade it.

In all actuality, the color is off but the features look a lot like him. The side by side pictures show that. I imagine it's hard to get skin color to match exactly when you're talking paint and then when you put it on a brick facade it makes it that much more difficult. If anyone looks at that and can't tell it's Derek Mason then they're blind or just looking for something to bit&h about.

Seriously? I look at that and see all 3 easily. I'm guessing the lady is their WBB coach. I don't know what she looks like so can't comment on her, but the other 3 greatly resemble their respective faces.

I looked at the mural again. Still terrible, but it does look like their coaches. I think the NAACP are booty hurt like usual. Their as obsolete as unions.

Stallings will be there forever. If they haven't cut him loose by now then they are fine with his up and down career.

I doubt Corbin is going anywhere anytime soon either, he's been there 11 years now and if he were going to bolt it probably should have been a few years ago.

The other 2 I can't comment on. Vandy women's bball is pretty much a non-issue unless they're playing the LV and even then it's not the rivalry it used to be.

Mason on the other hand....yeah he probably won't be there long. I'd say if anything they probably shouldn't put a football coach on there.
