The University of Tennessee has announced three basketball signees.

Wayne Chism F* 6'9* 230...Rivals.com has him ranked as a 4* prospect and the #42 overall player in the class of 2006. Ranked as the #47 overall prospect by PrepStars.com

Marques Johnson G* 6'5* 200....Johnson is ranked as the #41 overall prospect in the class of 2006 by HoopMasters.com. hoopScoopOnline.com ranks him as the #42 player in the country. He is ranked as the #54 overall player byPrepStars.com and the #43 overall player by scout.com.

Josh Tabb G* 6'4* 190.....He is rated as a 4* prospect by HoopScoopOnline.com and a 3* prospect by Scout.com. Rivals has him as a 2* player(But both JYoung and Jerry Meyer of Rivals believe he could be a major sleeper)

Duke Crew will not sign until tommorrow. He waited so that his mother, who is in New Jersey, could be there at his signing ceremony. Not sure what he is ranked other than he is a 5* prospect and the #29 overall player by Rivals.com.

Its already been said, but its unbelievable what Pearl has done in such short time in terms of bringing in the type of players that could really be the foundation of what will hopefully be a successful basketball program. The only thing missing in this class is a true PG, but its hard to complain too much with what Pearl has done. If we could have landed Willie Kemp, it would have really put us "over the top".

I hope that's all Crews is wating for. I agree that it's a great class for Pearl and I also agree that we didn't get a PG which may have been our biggest need. Kemp would have made it into a dream team. Hopefully Tabb or Johnson can play point. :dunno:

Crews is 100%. Good sources say there is NOTHING at all to worry about with him. This has been his plan. His mother is in New Jersey and she couldn't make it to Virginia to be at the signing ceremony until Friday. I don't think Tabb will play the point at all. I believe he would even be a better small forward than point guard .I believe Johnson has the potential to be a solid PG.

I thought that about Johnson altough I thought he was playing point this year for Snider but in his interview the other day he mentioned that he expected to play the 2. He did mention that he thought point was his natural position.
