Well looks like Penske is down two sponsors for next season, with Mobil 1 leaving on the Cup side and now Verizon on the Nationwide side. It was said that Penske has given Justin Algaier and Sam Hornish permission to seek other jobs. If I was JRM or KHI I'd be extremely interested in Justin as my developmental driver...

It was mentioned also Hornish might wind up in NNS next if sponsorship can be found.

Sprint could be pushing them out. Their not involved in the Nationwide Series, but still could have a say in competing companies in NASCAR. Allgaier is a good kid with good talent. He will land somewhere good. Hornish, errr....not so much.

Hornish needs to return to Panther Racing. although i hear they're shopping for Graham Rahal right now.

the Verizon sponsorship came about throught the Alltell deal he used to have. i always wondered how long that would last when Sprint showed up.

one thing Roger Penske has NEVER had trouble with is finding sponsorship dollars.

I was shocked the other day when I heard Alligator may be out of a ride. The Nationwide Series is beyond a complete joke. There is not going to be a full time competitive Busch driver next season with Leffler and Allgaier both gone, possibly.

Unless Elliott Sadler jumps to back to NNS, which I think is extremely likely. Oh and your forgetting Aric Almirola he probably has the best chance to win the NNS title. He has the talent and he'll have good equipment at JRM.

I thought of Aric, but I'm still not 100% sold on him going the distance next year. I can't remember his contract situation, but I don't think he's fully sponsored for the entire season. With Graceway dropping him, maybe Jr. would leave him out of the unsponsored races for a big name or ride buyer.
