Okay... this is just weird so thought I would share. Which way is the girl in the middle rotating? If you look left, she turns to the left. If you look right, she turns to the right.

you can tell how it forces you to see the turn in one direction as opposed to the other by when the lines become invisible...if that makes sense

It's not a mirror image. The colors on the legs are flipped. I'd imagine that has something to do with it.

You're really just supposed to look at the middle one, the ones with color are to show the different ways you should see it.

I don't believe that the change in color along the limbs affects you any. It's all about when the raised leg's line appears to be behind or in front the rest of the body

also, she has nice boobs

If it was only the image in the middle by itself it helps you realize which side of your brain is dominate.

Clockwise is right side/ left hand.

Anti is left side/right hand.

With both up there you can flip your brain from one side to another very easily and is almost kinda creepy.

Focus on the middle and you will find out which brain side is dominate.

The side photos are dictated by the colored lines. I actually had the center photo switch on me though. At first the center woman was spinning left then while looking at it again she was spinning right.

I can browse up and down (to make the image disappear and reappear) and sometimes it is rotating R to L, and other times it is rotating L to R.

Okay... this helps explain it. The first image below (which is the same as the middle image in the OP) is solid black which means your brain has to make assumptions about the image. You should be able to look at it and see both images (where the swinging leg is either the right leg or the left leg). By adding the white lines (which is what the images on the left and right do in the OP) it adds perspective to the image and your brain no longer has to make assumptions.

if you even barely caught a glimpse of the side pictures before you saw the middle, then that's why it changed

I've seen this before but not presented in this way. kinda neat to hold you thumb over one side then switch and watch it change. And if I cover both left and right the middle spins the direction of the last one I saw.

Pretty cool.
