Very disheartening performance...

The second half was a 10-10 tie, saban played his ones the entire game. The defense showed some grit after being out played and whipped in the first half. bamer was up by 28 and still throwing deep balls in order to run the score up. All the more reason to hate those ''red" bastards.

No , Saban didn't play his ones the entire game. What a joke.

Anyone that seriously thought we were going to win that game yesterday, needs to get their head out of their nether regions! And yes, we went againt Alabama's second string through part of the second half, but Alabama's second string would be starting on our team, as would part of third string! We ain't there yet people. Butch has three more years to get us there, and I think he's doing a great job starting the process!!!

I wish I could say that people are joking when they're making dumb*** post about this team and coaching staff. Sadly, that's not the case. How about the inbreds we played were simply better and deeper. Give them credit and support our team. People with common sense knew we had to play our A game to be competitive. Being limited in so many areas that was not going to happen. Yeah, it sucks to get your a** handed to you but they will learn from it and get better. Flame away...

Wow, not the Fijivol I remember.

Good post.

Thanks General. Butch Jones is Dooley's opposite and as a life long TN fan and alum I know he is changing the culture all the while recruiting like hell. I had no patience with the chosen one (Dooley) but feel with everything in me Jones is turning the corner for this program.

Fiji, I've always wanted to know, do you reside in Fiji?

Yeah we had a disappointing first half. But- Alabama is stacked with 4 and 5 star recruits at every position and two and three deep. It will take three years at the current level of turn around to compete with them. Coach Jones is doing the right things we as fans just have to be patient.

Alabama and Oregon would be a terrific national championship matchup and as long as Saban is at Alabama, they will be heads and shoulders above the rest of the SEC.

They just got done beating SC and have all this momentum going, only to come out and look completely LOST and disinterested against the best team in the country. Now, I knew we weren't going to win that game...but yesterdays performance was one of the worst Ive ever seen from this team...EVER!! Dooleys team put up better fights than that[...

Listened to the noise...up to that point....AFTER?....:snoring::snoring::boredom::boredom:

After playing tough games in two very hostile environments-- Autzen and the Swamp-- I expected a little more poise. It wasn't like that was our first venture out of Neyland. But we sure played like it. Josh Dobbs had no gameday experience at all, was thrown in cold and played with more poise than most, including a rattled Worley. No shame in losing to the #1 team in the country, but I was very disappointed in our poor showing. Great to see Dobbs, though!

That 4th and 7 incompletion in the first quarter was embarrassing. Where was North? Hell, where was ANYBODY?!! They looked and played scared..very disappointing. If we had lost to SC, I could see it and it wouldn't be an issue. But, after that monumental win, you'd think they would have been in the game at least til the half. Total disgrace...so much for that "red team" eh Butch?

You'll get over it.

Look people, its OK to be a little upset with the staff, no one is perfect. I love this staff and what they are doing for this team and University. I knew we would lose yesterday, but yes, clearly they did not prepare this team mentally for the game. We looked and played completely scared and conservative the entire first half. We have proven we have the horses to put up a better fight than we showed yesterday, so I have to blame the staff on that one. I think the most important thing to take from this is how they will get the team mentally prepared for the remainder of the season.

We will never consistently beat good teams with subpar QB play. Bama scores a lot of points against everyone. Bama shuts down most everyone who doesn't have a Johnny Football for QB. We have to get not only more formidable on the defensive end, but better QB play as well. Worley isn't going to get us there. Hopefully Dobbs or Ferguson will. Wrong game for everyone to declare the sky is falling.

I was at the game on Saturday. I have to disagree with you when you say they weren't in the game until the half. The Vols actually scored their 10 points in the second half. Unlike the teams in the past, these kids continued to play for a full 60 minutes. They were, after all, playing the number one team in the nation.
