Coach Fulmer said today that Richie Gandy SHOULD[/B] be back by August unless he runs into some complications. Says his injury was much less serious as someone like Antwan Stewarts and that his surgical procedure was much more simple. That is certainly very good news to hear. He said that David Holbert and Cam Mayo are the only ones that might not be ready for two-a-days.

The center position is a lot more important than people give it credit for. Remember the Notre Dame game last year when Jason Respert was out? That was the worst game our O-line played last year. You need someone there to make the right calls at the right time.

Our lack of center in that game got Ainge hurt.

People forget one important part of that play, it was Ainge's decision to lineup in the shotgun. He probably doesn't get hurt if he doesn't do that. I'm not blaming him by any means for what happened but it was clearly a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I honestly think one of the coaches may have called it, but Ainge can take the blame and be fine. If it goes on one of the coaches' shoulders, people start calling for their heads because they ruined the season. Especially after that loss. That was humiliating. I spent all week at school telling the Domer fans how they didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell.

Ainge said in the postgame reports that it was not Sanders' decision to lineup in the shotgun. He said for that play he felt that he could read the field better lined up the the 'gun.

Yeah, but if that snap was good it would have been different. If he didn't try to pick up the ball and do something with it....would have been different. If they wouldn't have called that play....you guessed it, would have been different. :dunno:

The combination of a bad call, bad snap and bad decision making.....Aingeless.

For sure. Now E knows that when it's at the end of the half and you've got a long ways to go and the lead, just run some regular ol' stuff.
