Loved kinda seeing at the end of the game where it was crucial we didn’t take necessarily bad shots or turn the ball over. We kept Knecht on the bench for a good part of it and trusted that veteran leadership and all of Vescovi, James, and Mashack along with his great defense had an awesome put back. I think it will go a long way to help this team and shows we are able to get buckets pretty much with any lineup at times. Aidoo has been playing great and to have unselfish players like Santiago and Josiah is a blessing for sure. Can’t wait to see what this team is fully capable of come tourney time. Until then we are along for the ride. GBO!!! Great win in Rupp over the kitty kats

Basilio said that Knecht called a meeting last night with SV and JJJ and told them that he wants them to be scoring instead of getting so many points himself. He said that winning games is the most important thing to him - not scoring so much.

JJJ and Knecht walked off the court after the game with their arms around each other.

That’s awesome!! And he doesn’t seem like a selfish guy at all. Just happens to be our only bucket at times when other guys are stale and I don’t mind it. Kids a stud. Totally forgot to mention Zakai but he played a great game tonight as well. Guess it’s easy to forget to give kudos where they are due when your whole team are studs 😏

Love it when the other team throws everything they have out there to shut one player down---and he still gets 16 points. Their concentration on him had to help JJJ out.

Ky did a good job on Knecht but they let a bunch of other guys get hot doing it. I think the best strategy against us is to let Knecht get his 30 and shut everybody else down.

I think you have him confused with Jonas, Tobe has been rebounding at a rate of 1 rebound for minute played and no one has been knocking it out of his hands.

I recall him uncharacteristically fumbling away the ball regularly this season, something that rarely happened last year. IIRC

I have watched every game and would say he is the strongest player with the least fumbles per touch on the team and he is involved in more scrums because of his offensive rebounding prowess.
