Anyone know why? He's been injured and I read a line where Butch would like for him to be healthy again.

He practiced this week so I would think he's better. Not sure if he made the travel roster though.

My understanding was that the final travel spot was up for grabs between he and Ryan Jenkins. I haven't heard who won the spot though.

From VQ, looks like he is in.

Couple notes from the War Room per VQ....

The Vols are only traveling 72-73 players to Norman. 21 of those are first year players. Vic Wharton and Gaulden are expected to make the trip. Mike Sawyers is not.

Vereen/Maggitt/Barnett are the most consistent edge players. While, J. Williams/O'Brien/O. Williams are the most consistent interior guys. One guy that has been surging is Jaylen Miller. Coach Strip has really praised him this week. They still like Hendrix's upside. He's still progressing.

Kerbyson will be your starting LT. Coleman Thomas will start at RT. The interior OL remains the same.

Ethan Wolf is traveling. But, he will be an emergency option only. Woody Quinn will not travel. Von Pearson will not travel with the team. Von's ankle has been stationary all week. They will re-examine it next week. Most people feel he's a couple weeks away from running and cutting.

Chris Weatherd will have 2 dozen family members and friends in attendance for the game on Saturday.

Good info, thanks! A little surprised that Sawyers isn't traveling. Thought he was getting closer to making the DT rotation.

Sawyers not going= Bad news. That leaves us with four DTs. Jancek hope your ready, because we are going to have to run a lot of 2 and 3 down fronts and blitz like the Hulk on steroids.

Kerbs to LT= Good news. He'll be fine there.

Thomas to RT= Great news because that's how you build tackles. Play them at RT a few years, get their technique flawless, and move them to LT.

Go Vols

I believe he's traveling to Norman. Coach Jones made a bet with Coach Azzanni this week regarding Wharton and Jenkins. Butch took Wharton and Azzanni had Jenkins, whoever had the better practice goes to Norman. Though I think both are going. my guess is he is healthy enough.

What a waste of a scholarship.

Well our coach gave it to him. Be mad at butch. Good god, your pissed at someone for not being as good at football as you would like them to be. You're a tennessee fan, even if you were a marginal player but a coach told you he thought he seen some potential in you and offered you a scholarship you would take it in a heartbeat. That doesn't make u a waste of human space if it doesn't work out.
