The Vice Guide to North Korea is one of the most surreal documentaries I've ever seen.

I'm probably going to watch that after I finish the first season of the HBO show. The last episode this season they were with Rodman when he went over.

The segment about the school with armed teachers and trained students is interesting. The teacher's union rep interviewed was kind of a tool though.

I wish the episodes were longer. The segments examine pretty deep or complicated subject matter without really peeling the onion.

The Chi-Raq episode is one example. If you're going to opine on the gun control debate as it relates to Chicago's gun violence, then actually explore the debate.

I think they've been asked about expanding the show, but the short segments fit what they're trying to do, which is introduce topics to people in an easy to digest format.
