Yeah UT cancelled the visit. I know you guys have bigger targets ahead of him. Looks like Hampton may end up at South Carolina now.

Canceled is visit due to something that happened? Or just didn't want him?

Did he get in some kind of trouble?

USC and Tennessee are the top two for Hampton, and he will make an official visit to Knoxville this weekend to watch the Gamecocks tangle with the Vols. He will take his official visit to USC for the Florida game.

We better have a better player that plans to commit on the spot. I thought Victor really wanted to come and play for UT...

Nobody seems to know on the uscjr board either. One would have to think it has to do with his off field issues, our limited number off officials allowed, players higher on our board, or some combination of the above. uscjr fans say it's because kiffin found out he's coming to watch them and are referring to us as utjr :eek:lol:

The USCjr. fans on Rivals were all saying yesterday that Hampton's visit got cancelled. And today on Hubbs' official visit list, Hampton was not on it. I don't think he's coming...

Hampton is a guy that started out in the original Rivals 250, yet dropped out because of off-the-field issues. He's a guy, that if he can get it together, has the chance to be a special player. Got to get this guy to campus, IMO, and see if he's serious about changing his life.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it in any case. He has had multiple arrests and has been kicked off at least one hs team. one blogger said he had been on 3 teams in 3 years. sounds like a cancer we don't need anyway.

Sometimes leadership plays a big role in getting these kids to change. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. You never know until it's tried though.

sometimes. though from what i understand that tom knotts is a hell of a coach and has a track record of turning troubled kids around....and still couldn't do anything with him. a coaching staff can also waste a lot of time and energy trying to get a trouble maker to get it together. it's up to the coaches to decide but i'm fine with whatever they do with this one.

Could be something else came to light for the staff or they could have a bigger prospect in mind at the position with less off the field problems?
