Victor Hampton?

In an article on Scout, Lateek Townsend ('11 Lb from SC) mentions that he is looking at UT because his friend Victor Hampton signed there and is telling him great things. Am I crazy, or did Hampton sign with Usc?

He did sign with the Gamecocks. He was arrested sometime later for taking alcohol to school. He's at an alternative school working on his diploma. Still yet to get a qualifying score on his SAT/ACT.

That's what I figured. It was just weird that he not only thinks that he is signed with UT but that he has been telling him about it.

Lateek tells conflicting things to the media. He tells people at an awards function that he's going to Clemson, but then says he didn't commit. Both Clemson and USC fans have noticed conflicting statements about lots of things. I can't say anymore because I have to keep it confidential. BTW, Hampton got raked over the coals by Gamecock fans. He can't do anything else wrong if he wants to get into school if he qualifies.
