Orange jerseys, White pants, but they kept the leather helmets
1949 Tennessee wore
Orange jerseys, White pants, and they changed to the familiar white hard shell helmet
Both of the older clips look like they are from 1956. The first looks like Alabama, who had a horrible team that year, and the second is definitely Johnny Majors scoring against Kentucky.
Doug Dickey added the T to the helmet and created the tradition of running through the T after he became coach in 1964.
If they really wanted to shock people the could trot out the "Halloween" uniforms of 1963. Orange jerseys with black numbers and two black stripes running across the shoulders. White helmets with an orange stripe down the middle and black numbers on the side.
