I grew up in Pac-10 area never watched College football... EVER.

Moved to TN for a bit and fell in love with it.

If I could tell these Big12 schools one thing it would be.

No one will give 2 ****s about you out there.

Well, the thing about these texas schools going to the pac 10 is that they'd have their own division, along with the two arizona schools. You are effectively adding half a conference (big 12) that then becomes its own division in another conference. Clever, artificial construct. I'm not excited about the prospect of these mega-conferences as everybody will be totally locked into divisional play every year. We'd see one less cupcake out-of-conference game, I would think, but the good out-of-conference games might virtually disappear. If we see more schools switching leagues, I can only hope we get A&M and somebody else respectable and help stick it to texas a bit. It's sad to see OU carrying water for texas. It's clear that, like A&M, the sooner nation sees a better fit with the SEC, which to me is rather obvious, but lots of big 12 teams feel they must suck on the longhorn teet.

I'm confused. So is this legit or not? I am pretty anxious to see how this all will shake out.

yeah the Pac 10 is telling them about the large media markets out there, but it doesn't matter because those large markets don't have an interest in college sports. They don't have a network but want to set one up. I think they have pie in the sky expectations that won't pan out.
