I didn't get to see the game. What's the deal with this outrageous foul called on Steven pearl? Link?

He stole the ball. The Vandy player reached in with his arm and fell down. Steve didn't even touch him besides when he brushed him when he touched the ball. It truly was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

I personally feel like the game was well officiated if not somewhere close to our favor..... but that is JMO

He didn't steal the ball, it was a long deflected rebound. The rest is accurate. Pearl caught it on the bounce right in front of him like a short stop. It was a lousy call. Maybe the ref thought Pearl threw his hip out a little (he didn't). Other than that I can't imagine what he was looking at.

the call doesnt matter... we won.

Plenty of calls down the stretch that could have EASILY been called against the Vols.. but they didnt call them.. and we won.

Rejoice, be happy. .

I loved the dance Pearl did after the call ... but the last 5 min. was nothing but refs ... oh yeah and Hopson and Harris ...

The game has passed Mike Kitts by. Time to get out. He anticipated the call instead of letting the play happen. He has struggled in about every game I have seen him work. Lots of older guys need to think about giving it up like Tim Higgins and Jim Burr.

Anticipating a call is about the worst thing an official can do. It is usually done by either an inexperienced official or one whose opinion of himself is way too high (Valentine comes to mind) But with the call on Pearl, I agree with you, it is just getting too old to do your job. (Kitts).

Thats one of the reasons its so hard to win on the road in the SEC, you are spotting the home team 6-10 points for the crap calls your are going to get!

Not saying, just saying.

It was not a steal. The ball went right to Pearl and there was no foul.

It was a horrible call.

Pearl was flat-footed reaching out for the ball.

Not even reaching out for the ball. It literally fell right in his lap. His arms were barely even extended. And it was definitely still a rebound at this point, Vandy guy hadn't even come close to establishing possession of the ball.

That was an absolutely horrible call. There were other obvious calls that could have been made throughout the game. It appeared, in most cases, the refs were letting them play. I liked that part, but the refs still have to maintain control of the game. They lost that many times during play.
