Just back from the weekend spent in Athens; as usual a great trip with the only negative being the final score. 11th trip there since 92 (only missed 2010). Have seen 6 wins and 5 losses in Athens. This was by far the best Ive ever felt leaving there after a loss; or really leaving any game with a loss. This was also the most subdued Ive seen the dawg nation after a win. They complimented the grit, heart, and game played by our team and coaches. They know they were very very fortunate to win. We are "almost" back, and they have peaked.
They are where we were about 8-10 years ago, and the majority of their fans know it.

So when I come on here and read some of the moronic threads started by delusional fans that talk as if they know how to run a program/team, I chuckle a little, because I have come to realize, You Just Can't Fix Stupid! Cannot be done. To try and reason with them or point out the lunacy of some of their comments only gives them what they want, attention.
So my advice to the vast majority of our fanbase that post here, who, while disappointed in the loss yesterday, see very clearly that we are indeed on the right track, that this staff/team Gets It, and that good things are on the way: DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS. IGNORE THEM AND THEY WILL FIND ANOTHER BRIDGE TO LIVE UNDER.............

And by the way, Go Big Orange......Beat the Gators!!!!

Thanks for the great post. I feel for our players and coaches who are putting in so much sweat and effort but still come up short. May their fortunes soon change for the better.

Meh, hard to say Georgia has peaked given their recruiting classes. They are in the running for the top class in the country and have the top two recruits in the country for 2016 already committed. Maybe they've peaked, but I doubt it.

I agree with the rest. This team is close and many games on the remaining schedule are winnable.

What the Dooley fans don't get is that we still have a ton of holes on this team and Butch and company are coaching them up. Wait till we get a full stable of players at every position, we'll be thumping teams.

That's still a year or two away.

But let me get this straight we lose to two teams we were supposed to lose to and all the people that said we'll get blown out are actually mad?

You mad we kept it close? I don't understand. You're expecting 22 true freshmen to dominate programs that haven't had a coaching change in 10-15 years. Well I hope you morons get off the wagon but don't come back around when we're winning 10 games a year.

I was there also sec 104 row 5 and tons of dawg fans were nervous all game long...also never realized a SEC fan base needed a frat boy with kahkis on to yell into a mic to get the crowd motivated on 3rd downs....

Your talking about that idiot dancing and yelling by the Dawg House on the UT sidelines? I was in 116.

Dawgs always recruit well, but Richt just doesn't seem to get the most out of his talent.
IMHO, he has peaked as a coach, and thus UGA has peaked as a program under his leadership.
This is a year they should dominate the east. Maybe they will the rest of the way out, but I see Missouri, Auburn, Arky and Florida as teams that "could" beat them. They play Missouri and Arky both on the road.

I think you are right. He's a great recruiter and a good man, but not a great coach. A decent coach who has made his living off of great recruiting.

I have a feeling we are going to start beating Georgia regularly again.

Always get players but as long as Richt is there, they've peaked. They'll win the majority of their games but will lose to someone they shouldn't, play in a good bowl and keep him around.

Sounds like someone we knew very well. At least C.P.F. was able to win a national title.

Georgia has recruited well the past few years and can do nothing with it. So I'd say they have peaked.

Nope I absolutely don't expect us to dominate teams that are stacked with talent. I didn't even expect us to compete with Oklahoma.

I do however expect us to find a way to win. To stop killing ourselves, and when we are winning to not take our foot off the gas.

My expectations are reasonable, I said the from the start of the season 6-6, would be acceptable. I do see a much improved defense, I also see a much improved passing attack. The only thing killing us at the moment is our Offensive Line, I cringe every time I see third down, as we know the blitz is coming, and we also know it won't be picked up or slowed down. The offensive line right now reminds me of the Sal Sunseri defense of 2012.

Do we have grit yes, do we have guts yes (Worley may not have any left intact by the end of the season), what we are lacking at the moment are 2 things, An offensive line, AND the ability to find ways to win.

Richt and Ga has peaked. They hauled in their so called dream team about 3 years ago and still have not won nothing. MR is CPF in training.

Agree one hundred percent, felt like a funeral walking out of Sanford. They know next year in Neyland is going to be rough.

Right behind you on row 6....it's was great to UT band there. Wish band could have made it to Oklahoma. There were times you could hear the crickets and we needed a boost from the band.

On the other hand, I heard some fans saying they just played bad. Then others were like we are finally playing a good team, this is what happens when you play a good team. So I guess they think we are better than South Carolina, even though they lost to em, and Clemson?

OL is a work in progress for sure, but to compare it to our 2012 defense????
Our recruiting under Dooley is to blame here, not the current coaches or the boys in orange in the trenches. We have to play with the players we have and I for one am not going to bash this OL or its coaches.

If you choose to do so, Im sure there's a thread on here with your name on it,,,,,

UGA won the East in 2012, and was 4 yards from playing for the NC. Did you miss the 2012 season?
