he's still on the Pats Payroll..........an "under the table" double agent.........

the patriots are taking espionage to the NFL!!!!

he's having a Vanderjadt-like breakdown

well, other than hosting the 500, there's not much to do in Indy. He probably hits the bottle pretty hard too when he realizes how much more fun he had in Beantown.

You act like his life is limited to Indiana or something. Many NFLers don't even reside in the cities they play in.

I'm sure he wished he was still with the patriots while he was busy winning a super bowl last year

again, i just find the state of indiana incredibly boring, and while the best city in the state, Indy is quite a craphole of a city. I just wanted to make fun of it.

I don't worship him. I basically cheer for him because he's the best shot at bringing Peyton down. I respect the best in the business. IMO, Brady is the best qb right now, hands down. If I were to start clamoring about sponsorship ads and whatnot, worship might become a word we could use. In pro football, i used to worship Joe Gibbs. Sadly, i think it's time everyone left that altar. Still won't quit on my 'Skins though.

Wow, your obviously a Vol fan by your Neyland avatar. Did Manning bang your girlfriend or something? Or do hate him for the typical reason, cause he gets so much (or even too much, whatever your opinion is) pub despite not being the best QB.

He, like most other people on here that hate PM, like to see PM fall because of what he did not do here at UT.

it's not all peyton's fault. I'll be the first to admit that. I'm just sick of 99% of vols fans telling me I have to be a peyton fan just because. I mean what has he done for me? he went 0-4 against Florida, only one SEC title and got blown out in the Orange Bowl with that. Numerous former UT qbs have done at least that for me. But I do feel he gets too much pub. I've seriously calmed down my trashing him since he finally won the Super Bowl, but he's still not proven he's such the ultimate game winning qb that everyone touts him as. I'd take Brady, Montana, Favre, Elway or Unitas any day of the week and twice on Sunday over Manning. Stats are one thing, winning is something completely different.

I'll love any player that has, is, or will play for the Vols...except Austin Rogers for some reason

No one touts him as the ultimate game winning QB. Everyone knows that's Brady, at this point, and there's no falsifing this in the media or anywhere else.

I'll love any player wearing orange. Once they take it off and hang it up, I can and will respect what they did for UT, but I don't have to root for them in the NFL. I'd be cheering for what, 75% of NFL teams if I kept cheering for former Vols?

you'd be surprised how many people try to refute this where I've been.

I too wish he won, say, another league title while here, but it cannot be ignored that ten other SEC teams also allowed that Gator team to win 4 SEC titles in a row.

I don't cheer for the teams just the players. I hope Donte Stallworth or John Henderson are successful but I'm not going to root for the Pats or Jags

I've heard people take Manning in the whole "which QB would you take for your team" debate, but never, not since the Pats dynasty became apparent, have I ever heard anyone say Manning is better in big games or situations.

that's true. But all he did compared to other players was put up lofty stats. The end result was the same. No reason to treat him as more of a god than any other former Vol. If he had led us to two or three SEC titles and a National Championship I might cheer for him more. But it sickens me that people think I have to cheer for him because... well because he's Peyton... No one wears Al Wilson, Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry, John Henderson or Peerless Price jerseys. I see a few Jason Witten jerseys, but only because I'm in UET and he's a local.

Well, I've asked the question, "you have one game to win, who do you want?" And a majority of Tennesseans always tell me Peyton. I even heard that three years ago.
