Why do people think it will be hard if Tennessee ever tries to find another football coach? Me for one believes that Tennessee is still a force in the NCAA. Everyone knows one issue with the Vols and we will not go there, but another has raised its head ... NCAA rule violations. Who could believe all this came from one year? Many have said if Tennessee does make a change that it will be hard to find a suitable replacement. What!!!? Kiffin left Tennessee at a time when USC was drowning in violations and controversy. USC is still going strong. Then there is teams like Ohio State that broke so many rules the last 10 maybe 15 years that no one could keep count. Right now they have Urban Meyers captaining the ship and now undefeated. These teams have no problems compared to the legendary Penn State and the troubles that have had there college dragged through the mud. Through all the troubles they are still doing better than Tennessee with their new coach. I do not understand why many people believe it will be such a hard task for Tennessee for search for a new coach when all these other schools have had no trouble.

Agreed. It'll come down to money. How much do we really want to spend to get a winning coach. These latest violations aren't the death of the program.

$5M- $6m will fix UT's problems, it worked for alabubba and others that committed far worse rules violations.
Winning consistently draws attention away from probation, at least in the public's and recruits eyes.

I think if a coach/asst. coach commits infractions at one school then leaves that school to take another job, not b/c of being fired, the pealties incurred by the first school b/c of said coach should also apply to the current school. This would make roaches like kiffen and his staff so toxic no one would want them and therefore discourage this crap.

I dont think our newest penalties will be a deterrent, had UT let this thing drag out instead of taking the fast track course it may have been an issue. Simply b/c the poor publicity and uncertainty that would have been there.

The intent of ncaa rules is to prevent members from gaining an unfair competitive advantage ,the record shows UT gained nothing. :ermm::confused:

If you cheat and you still suck, or you cheat and you get better, the penalties are, unfortunately for us, the same.

Whenbring in 3* recruits like Dooley has and the rest of the SEC is bringing in 4 and 5 star recruits you not going to beat them very often. Or in Dooley's case not going to beat any of them. You have to get kids like Florida and Alabama recruits. I think Dooley looks at their pst some and if they had any trouble at ll e will not recruit them. Our defense needs to get a chip on their shoulder and play hard.
