given that the BCS Games so far haven't exactly been competitive, i think this one may have a chance to be just that.

i have a lean toward VT simply because they will probably be the best defensive team KS has seen all year. but i also think KS has a bit of a chip on their shoulder and will play with some purpose.

i'm saying VT 24 KS 17.

I care simply because I am a college football fanatic. But it doesn't have me any more interested than Clemson v. Auburn just becuase it is the Orange Bowl. I will pull for KU.

I'm as interested in this game as I would be in a documentary on the migratory habits of Canadian geese.

av123.....agreed, i'll watch, at least until i fall asleep, the fox coverage and start times sucks. i can't wait until Fox is out of the college football business.

and when the game is supposed to start, start the darn thing. there is no need to to show 10 minutes of each band during pre game, the coin flip and all that non sense. i haven't been able to make thru the 3rd qtr of either of the last two BCS games cause they're on so late. there's no reason why they couldn't get those games to start by 8 pm EST. and be over by 11:30.

and i'll be rooting for KU as well.

Me too. I love watching football. I also like VT, so I shall be pulling for them, but I think this game will be much higher scoring than Jakes guess. I know Jake you didn't like my back and forth prediction before, but I think this is going to get into the 30's on both sides. I think this was the only BCS game that could go either way and shows for the smallest sign of competition.

What Kansas is doing on offense interests me. It seems a very professional way to spread the field. I'll be interested in this one.

that is a very interesting way to describe it...i like it.
Odd choice of words I know... But I think the ideal offense for Tennessee is a spread that looks, well, like the pros would run it. Not so gimmicky. That's got to be the evolution of this deal, and we should try to be shooting for the next step, not copycatting...

"Probably" ?!?!?! Kansas on average faced something like the 91st ranked defense. The best defense they played all year was COLORADO!

Virginia Tech is by far the best D they'll see, it isn't close, and Kansas will be lucky to score 20. VT 31, Kansas 16

ok, ok, jeez...calm down AZ.:)

i didn't go back and look up all the def ranks of every opponent they played, but i knew enough to know that they hadn't played too many teams that are known for def. prowess like VT.....
