I know, I know…never overlook your opponent.

However, surely I can’t be the only one who thinks this game won’t close?

Heupel’s offense is known to put points on the board and I can’t see Virginia making enough stops to keep this game close by halftime.

Personally, i think we win by double digits. The days of Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt are over with.

Score prediction:

Vols - 52
Virginia - 17

I think we need to slow our roll a bit. Having our center out is going to be difficult for us. Secondly, Milton hasn’t shown the ability to be a great QB yet. We still had 7 punts vs Clemson. The offense wasn’t as efficient with Milton as the QB.

I think our defense is majorly improved but the offense takes a step or 2 back this year. Hope I’m wrong but the Mays injury has me worried more that anything. Causes a domino effect that we can’t run the O with speed and rhythm, our run blocking takes a back step and that doesn’t allow our receiver splits to be effective.

If I were one of the leaders on the UVA team, I would be telling my teammates that UVA is being disrespected and that should be motivation for everyone to play hard. I think they will play hard, but the talent difference is just too much. I expect we will see a Vol team trying to establish themselves as a legit contender. Pretenders need not apply!!!!!!

I’m usually a glass half-empty, realistic kind of guy when it comes to Tennessee. But I fully expect Tennessee to absolutely house Virginia. It should be over at halftime, honestly.

Very reasonable take. Our offense wasn’t great against Clemson. Our defense set us up pretty well that night and we didn’t blast them like we would have if we had hooker. I like Milton and want him to do well, but the truth is we haven’t seen enough of him

"Glass half-empty" is no more realistic than "glass half-full". Both tend to ignore the other half.
