Anybody else gonna be there with me? I'll be in the nosebleeds, but for $6, who cares. At least I'll be wearing the right color orange with no silly navy dirtying it up.

Also, it's interesting to note that Bennett runs a Princeton Style type of offense. I would of worried a lot more about this if we hadn't already faced Georgetown and I think we accepted that challenge well so I don't see a problem with this. Virginia has more length and I fully expect to see more zone. We're gonna have to start knocking down some shots so we don't see this every game. For those that like a ton of points, I don't see it this game and you'll likely be "bored". Virginia won't run and will grind it out the same as Tennessee will.

I had planned to attend the Georgetown and Virginia game and just make a week out of it but work wouldn't allow me :(

Either way, Cheer loud!!

Thanks for the info, Shaun. Hope it's gonna be a good one. UVA is a good team, but if we play well, we can be the better one. #GBO

From what I understand, Virginia uses a sagging man defense. Plays off their man to take away drives and makes opponents shoot contested 3's. I would expect us to have some issues scoring. Our shooting percentage dramatically decreases when not playing in TBA.

Watched them twice. don't remember much zone defense.
Should be a low scoring slow paced affair.

Yup. Not really familiar with their style of defense but you can almost bet with their size and our recent problems that we are going to have to force teams not to zone us. Any coach would be crazy not to make us win from behind the line. I just hope Martin is able to get Stokes the ball more this game.

This is a winnable game. I just hope it doesn't come down to a last second shot again. And hopefully FT shooting doesn't turn into a mental problem.

We don't need fragile confidence on this team. I was a little worried after last season when the coach made the bold statement about competing for championships. If you set the bar that high, then fail, it's a tough battle not to lose the team confidence completely.

The style matchup doesn't favor UT, it seems. UVA went into Wisconsin's place and beat them, and Wisconsin has a HUGE homecourt advantage (Vandy-esque). Wisky also plays a slowdown grind it out pace, like UT, and UVA was able to overcome it.

UVA plays solid man defense. They don't hedge into passing lanes or force many TOs with pressure, but they get a hand in the shooter's face and usually keep opponents to a low FG%. I expect that Bennett, like every other coach the Vols face, will throw a zone at you and make you break it.

Harris and Mitchell are two efficient scorers for the Wahoos. The Vols' defensive matchups will be interesting.

Spot on. I agree 110%. Until we prove otherwise, we'll see zone. And even with man to man, length would bother this team.

The Pack Line defense.

I still have this grudge against UVA since the 80's when they beat us in back to back NCAA tournaments...The time in Indy we should have beaten them when Ralph Sampson played for them...I still have a lot of hate for them over that lol...Even tho We have beaten them a couple of times since then I still love beating them....GO VOLS!!!
