One of the more versatile players in this year’s class for the University of Tennessee is Kentucky athlete, Channing Fugate. The 6-foot-2, 225 pound workhorse was set on UT from the outset of the recruiting process and committed to the old staff back in June of 2009. Since then, Fugate has had his eyes on [...]

Great Post Freak! Since there are so many positions that Channing could play, how about we all tell what position each one of us would like to see him play and why?

I would love to see Channing at linebacker. Because from the videos that I have seen, he runs with passion, wreckless abandon, has good strength, and decent speed. Channing has great size at 6'2 225lb pounds, he can add about 15 pounds of muscle and become an All SEC Linebacker by his Junior year.

IMO

Thank You for the great read Freak and Brandon...I like the idea that this young man could be used as a halfback/fullback...he could be used on special teams...and he could be used on special teams..GBO!

This guy is gonna be good at whatever position he plays. Sleeper of the class. Great read freak.

I was always confused as to why he was a three star (I think on Scout). Kid is a four star in my book. Can contribute early...may even see him at LB. I'd rather have him at FB

Any chance we redshirt him since we have two upper class-men ahead of him on the depth chart?

I have said all along this is my favorite kid in the 2010 class, even over Rogers, Bray, and the like. No doubt this kid is a beast and I would have loved to see him play in the state of Florida or Texas in high school. Probably could have been a four star and had an better offer list. Very glad we got him and can't wait to see him at LB, which is where I think he would be most effective. It looks like when he is going for the ball carrier on defense, he has the mentality that he will do whatever it takes to get to the ball, and when he does he punishes them. This kid has sleeper written all over him (hopefully not literally).

I like his film. From what I see, will need to work on ball secruity carries the ball a little wide and not high and tight.

Why is he only compared to white players?

Dallas Clark, Jason Witten, Mike Alstott, Toby Gerhart, Jacob Hester so far.

He is every great white skill player!
