I tried to get this up as early as possible and Delvin was sorta busy so I asked just the simple questions.

I will try and do a more indepth one later after the stormy seas calm down.

IMO from following him for Oregon and Bama he was looking for a school to give him a shot at WR first so it looks like UT is that school. Could be a lethal TE/DE as well.

I think he ends up at DE when all is said and done. In a college S&C program, he's gonna be huge. Anyway I'm sure that's what Kiffin is telling Cobbs and Prater.

BTW, VolNation was the first site to get this up online! You bet we are killing it right now.

I agree with DE, maybe even OLB with his speed. 6'4" and 240 with 4.6 speed could be devastating.

I am hoping there are few more sleepers like this out there before the season starts.

I can see this kid get some reps at WR especially in the orange zone and some 3rd downs and also get some reps at DE on 2nd and 3rd and long. I do think he can be a 2 way player. He has the attitude we need. "I'll play anywhere". There is going to be a lot of young talent on this team next year.

Is it common for defensive ends to be recruited as athletes? Not sure I can remember a similar prospect.

This is awesome news to come home to. Hoping for tight end but will settle for defensive end. I know they are looking at wide receiver first. He'd be a big physical beast. This team is in need of a tight end and it appears he would fit the mold if he has the speed for wide receiver. Leave Milton and Ambles alone outside. Reel in Cobbs as a physical receiver or Prater as another big receiver. If they get one of those two then Jones should definitely be a TE or DE. Again, I am hoping TE.

I think he'll outgrow OLB. He'd be a terror on the D-line though. JMO.

He seems like a great fit for TE to me. He has a rare blend of size and speed and should be able to put on weight for blocking without losing speed.

The beauty of this commit is thate Jones isn't going to scare off any other WR prospects.
