When you start breaking down the talent in the state of Tennessee for the class of 2011, no list would be complete without Jackson, TN (Trinity Christian Academy) athlete Jabriel Washington. In fact, some consider Washington to be the top prospect in state. Currently listed at 5-11, 165 pounds, analysts project the Trinity star to [...]

This kid goes to my rival school and I play against him every year. Good athlete, but way overhyped IMHO.

First off, there is no excuse for not logging in since the announcement. You should visit way more often.

Second, send me a PM with the new name that you would like to have.

Jabriel is a great athlete, smart, but is overhyped at this point. Having said that, he is good enough for UT.

He is a top 10 talent in the state and top 3 in West Tn. along with Artaves Gibson at Mitchell and Christian Coleman at Milan.

I like this part of the article

"According to his coach, Washington plans to attend Junior Day at Tennessee on February 27th. "

Good Read... Thanks for the info! I hope that we can keep some of our in-state talent and get them up on the hill... Go Vols!

We need this guy. We can't continue to let the talent we do have in the state of Tennessee to slip into the hands of other SEC schools.

I sacked him a couple of times when he was a freshman. :) His lineman couldn't block worth a flip. He's obviously gotten a lot better.

I would put Washington ahead of Coleman. I haven't seen the other guy.

This just doesn't make sense. We have trouble taking 3 guys from TN period. If he really is the number 3 player in West TN (which is the better side of the state recruit wise IMO) then either TN talent is great this year or he is not good enough for UT. I would say he is the best player in the state based on his offer list. His tapes are impressive. DB/Returner is where he looks best suited, would be good in a Wildcat package as well.

I think he's the 2nd best in TN behind Richardson.

Ill agree with that, but I obviously have not seen everybody.

I think Richardson is the only must get in state that I have seen, although I like the OL from Catholic and would gladly take Washington from what I have seen.

Once again, I've played against Jabriel since he has been in middle school for 5 years now. He no doubt is a great athlete, but I would not call him the top recruit in the state, maybe in the top 5 at best. I personally think that Artaves Gibson from Mitchell is the best prospect in West TN. He plays against much better competition. I went to one of Mitchell's games last year when my team had an off week and saw him tear it up.

Gibson is a stud. I definitely like him better than Young and a bit better than Bryson.

I'm not sure if I wouldn't take Ballentine over Washington.

Haha just hatin on the lions ;)
Seriously though, i understand the teams you play against mean alot, but when he tears the camps up like he does, i think that just about nullifies schedule. I think camps at SEC schools have just a little bit more talent than a regular highschool in Tennessee :wink2:
