I asked Hubbs yesterday why the Vols had backed off of him and he believes the Vols don't think he can meet the SEC JUCO requirements.

It is stupid that the SEC makes the JUCOs jump through all these hoops.

I agree completely. It hurts not only UT but the entire SEC as a whole because top notch JUCO prospects can get in easier in other conferences. Puts us at a big disadvantage.

Aren't we the only conference that has this stupid JUCO requirement?

they have to pass an extra math and science class.

i know that doesn't sound like much, but if you haven't decided that you're attending an SEC school a semester in advance, it creates a huge problem cuz you can't add those classes mid-semester after NSD.

and alot of kids (Bruce Irvin) are just saying F the extra class work and going somewhere else.

yeah, it's tough enough getting through the regular classes and on top of that playing football and then they have to take two extra classes. that just seems like they're being set up for failure.
