Jermauria Rasco - VolNation

Will have work to do, but playing close to home is something he favors. Tex and Alabama fill up before he's ready IMO. Leaving LSU, FSU, and UT in decent territory. We'll see. Expect Tenn to turn up the heat here.

Shreveport, LA.- One of the bigger recruits in Louisiana is still on the board for the nation. Top recruit Jermauria Rasco has not been a household name on the national scene so far but he should be. first of all, thanks jhop for all that you do to keep everyone at volnation updated with recruits, your killing it.

Considering our needs on DL and the ties that Dooley and Joseph have to La, it is surprising to hear the comments made by Rasco. Hopefully UT can step up because this La. kid doesn't seem to be blinded with purple and gold.

Just read the article. Nice work JHop, as always.

I am curious about one thing though; is the UT coaching staff not putting as high an emphasis on Louisiana as other states around the southeast, Georgia and Florida specifically?

If so, that is surprising to me considering Dooley's ties to LA the last three years and his tenure at LSU. I'm not complaining mind you, my experience with CFB recruiting lies only with what I read...i think I'll give CDD's experience at this the benefit of the doubt.

Good player, there is some concerned about his body frame, will probably have to work on strength if he doesn't plan on adding weight if he wishes to stay at DE. To me a possible LB/DE-hybrid player, kind of reminds of Justin Maclin from Tennessee last year. I would put him at either #1 or 2 DL left on the board in the state, with Mickey Johnson.
