Does that mean we'll be playing against him soon? Cincinnati is coming up on our schedule.

He will be a junior this year. I think he will have graduated once we play Cincinnati.

I was pumped about seeing him in orange because he is going to be a real good one. But it is what it is, best of luck to him.

I'm surprised he chose Cincy of all places, seems like UT would have more to offer...I wonder if he even heard Dooley out, Cincy is in a transition phase as well having lost Brian Kelly to ND and their O Coordinator to another school....I wonder what made him choose the Bearcats? Oh well after reading how he feels about Kiffin can't help but root for the guy.

Thompkins, who is considered by some to be the top junior college wide receiver in the country, could enroll at Cincinnati immediately and would be eligible to participate in spring practices.

Now, that I did not know.

Thanks for the article Freak

Reportedly, Thompkins is motivated to play against Kiffin.
At the time when he opened up his recruitment, Thompkins adamantly said, "I'm not looking at USC. I'm not going to go down that road again with (the staff). I've already been burned once, I don't want to get burned again"

this was when he was looking at UCLA, he wanted to play against the Kiffin Clan

I think they will do well without Kelly.

Butch Jones had a better overall record in his 3 years at Central Michigan than Kelly did at Central Michigan.

Also, I think Jones is a much better recruiter (this is why I never wanted Kelly at Tennessee) than Kelly is. He was a great recruiter when he was on Rich Rod's staff at West Virginia and has a very good reputation.

The way i understood it he didn't qualify. Maybe he couldn't get in an SEC school?

no, he did qualify. He was already admitted. He chose to leave us, Dooley granted his scholarship release

I was too. He was my favorite recruit until all the drama went down with the coaching change. Best of luck Kenbrell, sorry that prick ruined you on UT football.
