Brandon Willis and Corey Miller seem to do things together. They go to high school together, they play defensive line at Byrnes together, they took and unofficial visit to Knoxville last month and then they committed to the Volunteers together just after that visit. Now the two of them will be taking their [...]

After the disappointing Cobbs news, and based on how suddenly these two committed to UT a couple months back, is there any stretch of the imagination that thinks if USCjr wins this game that they become a factor for Willis & Miller?

I know these are high schoolers that are prone to changing their mind, but these two guys sound as solid as they can be. I do not believe the outcome of the game will be a factor as they have bought into the staff and the importance of "team" to our program. I believe they will be good recruiters for us as well, just like Smith and Ambles.

Ok, obviously this SC game is HUGE for recruiting. A pathetic SEC record won't bold well heading into the Ole Miss Game. We HAVE to win this game to break even. We deserved the win last weekend, but their are no moral victories in CFB. All that matters is winning.

Forget bolding well, tell us who's coming.

Cobbs sounded all committed to us too. I just wouldn't worry until signing day or EE is done. Some guys change their mind 3 or 4 times. We will lose some at the last minute but then there will be some huge surprises at the last minute also. Just like last year. Some of the best players in history have been 3 stars. In the end, rankings in the recruiting is just some bragging rights leading up to next season. In the end it's how the players mesh and play as a team that counts. It really doesn't matter to me if we end up in the high teens recruiting class as long as at the end of next season we are 10-2 or better. Obviously Cobbs saw the competition was a little stronger than what he thought at UT and decided he had a better shot at playing early at Texas. Plus Texas has an easier schedule than the SEC so he has an easier chance of "looking good". He obviously doesn't want to work as hard as what it takes in the SEC to succeed. Maybe he's a slacker. Maybe he'll prove me wrong and re-commit on NSD to UT and say he wants to be an NFL star. He would have a greater possibility of succeeding and advancing to the next level here at UT than at Texas but it takes hard work.
