For those who would like to jump in on this one, let us know what your line of work is.

It might engender (Wow, nice word there, dude!) some neat ideas among folks who are in the same fields...or maybe not.

The surrealvol is a college professor and has been one for a few too many years. Always thought I would someday get to teach at U.T. but it just never worked out that way.

Maybe someday, I'll get to teach an occasional night class if I move to K-town.

Go Vols!

I am a bum, but I am trying to become a Victorias Secret fashion consultant. My job would be to sit around on a couch all day while women model and consult me on how the undergarments or lingerie looks on them.

I am a bum! :D

C'mon OWB - he asked for your vocation not your personality flaws. :D

What do you really do?

Now you are a bum AND a professional pervert.

What more could you ask for?

Well, I worked in a local guitar store as somewhat of a luthier over summer until I tried out for basketball. I don't know what my next career will be, though.

As for what I'd like to do... Still not sure. I dabble in quite a bit.

I don't even know what a luthier is, but it sounds complicated.

it's basically construction of guitars. The word is pronounced loot-ee-er, as in construction of lutes. The word just gets used for guitars, too.

I've put a few together, it's pretty tough though.

God knows I'm looking forward to that. I just hope I can get myself to go to a Cali school, instead of OSU or UO. The same guy that designed my high school designed many of the UO dormatories... And my high school's architecture is terrible. Only like ten classrooms even have windows. :bad:

Windows are overrated. My office has two of them and I never have time to look out either of them.

Way to go, SuperVol!

I was in the USAF way back when. I went through Officer Training and then flight school for awhile. Pulled some missile duty also. I came out early after a back injury, though.

Picture? Fountain?

Manager in a textile company in the ever decreasing textile world of the good ole Clinton sent everything offshore industry. Atleast for the time being. After 14 years, our plant is closing and I am in the process of finding a career change. Company based in South Carolina, but I've always worked in our GA plants.

We have got to get a handle on this offshore stuff or we are going to be in a world of hurt before we even realize it. And I do mean a MAJOR world of hurt.

Yeah, good luck man. I hate to see these jobs disappear like that. It has really hurt some of our localities in Virginia.
