Also, here's an email I'm thinking of sending to her. Somebody tell me if I'm out of line. I haven't sent it....yet :aggressive:
Dear Mechelle:
I wanted to tell you I appreciate the article you posted on espn.com. At this point, any article on the women's game is better than nothing.
But I also wanted to tell you how disappointed I am, in general, for the lack of depth in any of the articles on women's basketball.
While yes, I bleed shamelessly orange, I am a huge fan of the women's game. It is extremely frustrating how few of the games are televised and how little information is available for fans like me.
I want articles that present the key matchups, highlight the weaknesses of the players, detail the performances of those teams when playing past opponents with similar offensive and defensive schemes...
In short, I want articles like they do for the men's game.
Until the news media takes it upon themselves to put some real effort in covering women's basketball, the fans are left frustrated watching a poker match attempting to catch the scores before espn goes on ANOTHER commercial break...
Signed,
EXTREMELY frustrated women's basketball fan
