Tennessee battled through five innings of one-hit baseball on Saturday and used a late rally to chase a three-run Georgia lead, but the Vols fell victim to multiple errors and allowed the Bulldogs a 12-7 win at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

This team is a mess right now. Hope CDS can get it turned around before the season is lost.

Disappointing but typical of UT baseball. We will be fortunate to be a .500 team. CDS just isn't getting it done. Hate to say it but I miss rod.

UT Baseball is bad, they have too many good players to be in this position. UT needs a younger more energetic coach that can breath life into this program (ex. CBJ). UT keeps over thinking the coaching selections and trying to swing for the fence on every pitch. UT has all the resources to be successful, but they suck at picking the right person (coach) the first time, the Athletic Department better get their...........together and someone else will.

I believe CDS is the reason they are in this position. Baseball is not Basketball or Football. Coaching is paramount in game planning, pitcher management and at the home plate. CDS is old and out of touch with players and does not know how to get them focused on the game. Sorry, but age has set in on CDS, and once again UT is suffering for knee jerk hiring decisions. All anyone has to do is look at Vandy and see UT did not hire the right guy.

Tim Corbin is 3 years older than Dave Serrano. His age doesn't seem to be a problem.

Do what? Other than Serrano I can't think of any moment in my lifetime when UTAD tried to "swing for the fence" on a coaching hire. If anything, they've been trying to bunt for a hit.

Serrano is 50 and only about 3.5 years older than CBJ. Plus Dooley is younger than Jones, and Cuonzo Martin is younger than both Pearl and Tyndall.

So age has jack squat to do with it.

My concern is that we have seemingly regressed from last season despite there being no conceivable reason for that to be the case. That to me is worse than anything else and a major red flag. Something is wrong here.
