I'm not expecting anything earth-shattering from the show, but I've tuned in nevertheless. I'm ready for some Butch-isms.

Butch

-Thanks to all 102,455. Our players really fed off of "Third down for what?".

-The Vol Walk was unbelievable. Some of the freshman came up to Butch afterward and said "Now we get it. We get what you've been talking about now."

-The benefit of the open practice, having 40,000 people really helped us as well.

-Arkansas quarterback accounted for over 400 yards last week. Their scheme is very challenging. Their kids expect to win and they have what may be the best punter in all of college football. They use a lot of motion and shifts which makes it difficult on defenses.

-We are no where near where we need to be in the strength category but we're much stronger than last year.

-What can we do to get the run game going? We are going to miss Jacob Gilliam. Now he gets to be a coach. It takes all 11 individuals in the run game. In many cases on Sunday, it was just one individual missing an assignment. On eight plays, we were one missed assignment away from a big play.

-Cam Sutton did an exceptional job fielding punts. He saved us a lot of field position by catching a couple of them.

-On QB Knighten. They will call some run plays and throw downfield passes out of those. One of their first big plays last week was a called run play with a post and the corner came up and they hit the big pass.

-Fundamentally we didn't do well on kick or punt returns.

-A lot of times Worley has a dual option to hand the ball off or throw the quick hits to the receivers.

-We had 50 snaps in the first half. That's the most we've had, but we're still not there yet. We want to accelerate more. By playing up tempo we eliminated their third down package (couldn't get it in) from the game.

-Hurd played well, had one breakdown in pass protection. He got some tough yards after first initial contact. He made a great play on the screen pass to score his first career touchdown.

-Offensive line is a work in process. We have to continue to get better, but they are very capable and have good chemistry. Gilliam out presents another challenge. We will probably name a starter based on how they do in pregame warmups. Everyone needs to prepare as if they are a starter.

-TK Jr is a guy we are asking more and more of. You'll see more of him at safety.

-Randolph hurt his ankle. (I think Butch said he's day to day)

-Chris Weatherd adds another level of speed and athleticism to our defense.

-Sunday was a 4-hour commercial for Tennessee. We had 250 prospective athletes at the game. It's all about recruiting. Neyland needs to be sold out every game. The rain couldn't keep VolNation away on Sunday and we are going to need that again.

/Butch

Wow. CBJ wants to go for more than 50+ snaps each half. That's some fast football, 100+ plays a game...

You can choose from a number of things to like about Butch and god knows I like a lot about the man (I think this is where I'm supposed to say "no homo"). But what I might like the most about him (and the coaching staff in general) is the fact that they set the standard and they refuse to budge even a millimeter in their standards.

Doesn't matter who the kid is they will expect you to step up to their standard before they will lower themselves to yours. Beautiful and absolutely a must when it comes to rebuilding a program in the always tough SEC.

Gonna have that defense begging for an oxygen tank and some gatorade.

On that note, I was impressed by the conditioning of our players on Sunday. They did not looked tired at all. While USU's players appeared to be sucking wind.

This may be a dumb question to some, but can you pull up the station that does vol calls on the internet? I'm not an internet savy person, I don't do much but get on here and I live in Georgia. I would like to listen in if it can be pulled up, I just don't know the station to search for.

I listen on the SportsAnimal app but I think you can listen at UTSPORTS.com. Maybe someone will confirm.

Or you can listen on the tunein radio app here.

Heh...at first I thought you were saying you live in Georgia as a way of explaining why you didn't know much about the internet. I laughed.

He did.... said their recruiting profile is based on STI...speed, toughness, instincts. Hadn't heard that one before.

On his comment about TK Jr seeing more action: I really felt like Butch would start him. Maybe the plan was to get one game under his belt and then move TK in more and more. Would love for TK to get most of the reps there.

I think the same about starting Coleman at CB. Hopefully Butch saw enough from the 2 new guys to start them and move Coleman back to playing primarily the nickel.

I noticed that South Carolina's defense was sucking wind in the first half against aTm. That really surprised me that they would be out of shape in the first half of the first game.
