This Monday night. These stations will carry it on-line:

WLAC Nashville

Sports Animal

Check your other area stns.

I'm not sure if CheckerBoard Charley will be helping the broadcast team this year. :)

Not if the screener is doing his/her job. I sometimes listen but it is probably the most sickeningly homerish, uncontroversial show on the air.

its good info, most the calls are decidedly pro-Fulmer though.

the vol call show after the game isnt screened. those were sometimes brutal last year. :birgits_giggle:

You can tell they aren't screened. Is there anything more pathetic than listening to the intellect of some of those post game callers (both positive and negative)?

Yeah, that may well be what I end up doing, depending on where I am at 8:00, but when the games are on, and the websites get blacked out, it's nice to have the radio, particularly for basketball. Football night games are generally on TV. Thanks. Nice picture.

I don't know if it will be the same this year, but last year WREC out of Memphis didn't blackout the radio broadcast on the internet.

It is a Vol Network show. You can't expect it to be objective.

That's the thing. I don't see how you can expect anything other than what you get. It's no different than any other coach's show I've ever heard. There's just not much to them.

depends on the coach....some coaches are pretty candid ie spurrier others like overused cliche's like "work like heck to get better." :wink2:

How many times have you actually heard Steve Spurrier's call in show? I've heard it. . . He chats a little with the host and then Cletus from Columbia calls in to tell him how great he is. Then Orville from Orangeburg who thinks "2 deep zone" is a descripition of his last visit to the Proctologist calls in asking a stupid question about a playcall. Trust me, it's the same.

i've listened to other call-in shows, lou holtz, bob stoops, etc. fulmer isn't as forthcoming as others. he more guarded then anyone else i've listened too. Cutcliffe is a breathe of fresh air in that respect. Spurrier usually speaks his mind as well.

You must not have ever listened to Nick Saban.

Lou Holtz?!? Have you ever heard that guy poor mouth at a press conference? I think he invented coach speak.

We're going to have to just agree to disagree on this one. Of the coach's shows that I hear from time to time (Fulmer, Richt, Gailey, Spurrier, Bowden), I just don't see much of a difference from one place to another. In fact, most of them sound like they'd rather be doing just about anything other than doing a radio call in show.

I do agree that Fulmer could do better with the media sometimes, but I think mostly it's due to the fact that he's just not a real charismatic guy.
