This has the feel of Doug Dickey's time at Tennessee 1964-1969 I just hope it ends better for Coach Heupel than it did for Doug Dickey in December 1969.

I don’t think it’s just a honeymoon phase. I’m sure he’ll have his fair share of game decisions that will tick us off as all coaches do, but I don’t think he’ll ever embarrass the program like coaches in the past.

I never bought into his shtick. My only optimism during his tenure was Dobbs and co putting the team on their backs.
