Only a small few places in college football can you have over 100K people watching you in person. Nothing like the walk before the game. Nothing like running through the T on to the field. Nothing like being in the same company as Peyton Manning, Reggie White, Willie Gault, etc. etc. etc., some of the best in the game and the university. It's a legacy.
As for the actual team he'd play on he could either go to UA and play with a small few decent players. Or you can come to UT where there is a wide range of talent at receivers and backs. You can come learn under the best in the business. You can also learn under a staff that has produced a NC team.
Tell him to look at the full picture: the education, football, tradition, fans, the stadium and audience, etc. If he's all about eventually going to the pros, who has produced more pro talent? Who gets more national TV coverage?
No matter what aspect you are looking at UT, the Big Orange comes out on top.
