Such a cool post. Two quick observations:

1. Any US ballistic missile sub commander who goes rogue is instantly the 9th most powerful military entity on the planet, measured by sheer destructive capability.

2. The boat's patch includes SSBN 734, its hull classification, but also includes BB 43, the designation for the USS Tennessee battleship, which was decommissioned in 1947. It's pretty awesome that the boat honors the ship that way.

If I were a submariner in the US Navy, I would find my way to this boat, then try to stay there for the rest of my career, heh. And I'd put "I will give my all" over every single hatchway.
