Lady Vol Softball Opens Big Series with Bama this weekend

UT Lady Vols 27-1 RANKED #2 in the Nation take on 6th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide Softball team in a Huge SEC showdown in Tuscaloosa starting Saturday with a Doubleheader and a single game on Sunday. Monica Abbott will start the first game. Abbott is 17-0 with a 0.38 ERA and 230 K's. The Lady Vol Softball team leads the SEC in Hitting, Pitching and Fielding.

The UT Lady Vol Rowing team takes on Louisville Saturday Morning, The UT Varsity 8+ shell is ranked 12 in the Pre-Season Poll.

The Baseball teams tries to climb out of the SEC East Cellar this weekend in a 3 game series with Kentucky.

Monica Abbott is unreal. I don't follow them that closely but you don't have to look to close to realize that she is a special talent.

And the baseball team is up on UK 6-4 in the top of the 7th but UK has a man on 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out.

I should be at that game but it was too cold and dreary. I wimped out. I hope to check them out tomorrow.

UT just took the lead in the bottom of the 8th with an rbi single. There is a man on 1st with 1 out right now.

Yeah, they are young, but our middle relief isn't too hot either nor is our closer. No one is playing solid right now.

I like Cobb and Watson. Those guys have been around the block a few times.

Yeah they have, but Watson blew the lead today and Cobb blew up pretty bad a few games ago. We just aren't clicking for some reason.

I hope it is like two years ago when there was two team captains instead of that stupid defensive scoring system, where like sacks were a certain amount of points and stuff. To show how flawed that was, the offense won it last year.
